Terry Johnson directs an all-star cast at The Bush this autumn in Steve Thompson’s political satire Whipping It Up. The play stars Richard Wilson (Associate Director at the Royal Court and best known for his role in One Foot in
The Grave), and Helen Schlesinger (The Crucible – RSC, Comfort Me With Apples – Hampstead).
The cast also includes Fiona Glascott, Lee Ross and Nicholas Rowe, with one final part still to be confirmed.
pumpgirl orla fitzgerald receives best actress nomination
Pumpgirl Orla Fitzgerald has been nominated for Best Actress in the 2006 Stage Awards. Orla recently starred in Ken Loach's The Wind That Shakes The Barley, which won the Palmes d'Or award for Best Film at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Pumpgirl transfers to The Bush
for five weeks from 12 September, following its critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival.
