Is there parking nearby?
There is a 24-hour car park in the W12 shopping centre, just off Shepherds Bush Green. On-street parking is limited, and restrictions vary for each controlled parking zone. For more information, visit the Hammersmith and Fulham council website.

What time does the show start, and what happens if I’m late?
Evening performances usually start at 8pm, with the exception of Press Nights, which start at 7pm. Please double check the start time before making your journey.
The Bush Theatre operates a strict NO LATECOMERS policy due to the nature of the theatre space. Customers entering the theatre have to walk across the stage, and this disrupts the performance.

If you are late, and there is no interval, you will not be permitted to enter the theatre or be refunded for your ticket. If there is an interval, you will be permitted to enter the theatre for the second half of the performance, and a synopsis of the first act will be available.

What access facilities does the theatre have?
The Bush Theatre has restricted access, but is striving to provide access for all. Unfortunately, physical access is limited by the constraints of our venue, over which we have limited control, and there are three short flights of stairs to reach the auditorium. The Bush recently commissioned an access audit, however, and has implemented recommendations where permitted.

For full details of our access facilities, please see our Access section.

Signed performances take place on one Saturday matinee of each production.
For the next date please check the calendar.

Are there any good restaurants nearby?
There are lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the theatre, and The Bush Theatre recommends:

Bush Bar and Grill
Chez Kristof

Students can also take advantage of our £5 meal deal at The Vesbar – click here for details.

Can I send my play to The Bush Theatre?
Yes, we run a script reading service, which is free of charge and open to all. We are very happy to read any full-length, new play that we can potentially stage.

We also consider co-producing plays with other theatre companies, or taking in visiting company productions. Productions must be new work presented by professional companies.

We ask writers to send a full copy of the script by post (please note that we cannot accept email submissions) to:

Abigail Gonda
Literary Manager
The Bush Theatre
10 Netherwood Road
London
W14 0BJ

Please include a stamped addressed envelope, so that we can send you an acknowledgement letter. It is also useful, but not necessary, to write a covering letter outlining any relevant experience. Please supply an email address, if available, so that we can quickly acknowledge your submission.

The reading process takes approximately four months, and we try to offer constructive feedback if the script is not something we feel we could develop further here.

We look forward to receiving your play.

Can I hire the theatre?

The theatre is occasionally available for non-performance hires, however, such as presentations and television try-outs. Please note that the space is an 80-seater black box studio space, and that we do not have separate rehearsal rooms for hire.

For further details, please contact our production department on 020 8743 5050.
