My name's Neda Soltani and I'm currently in year 10 at Phoenix high school and for the past week I've spent my work experience at the bush theatre. This is where I've been given the opportunity to work along side the staff at the bush in their offices to get a feel of working life. While here they took me to see the current production 'Little Gem'.
'Little Gem' is simply wonderful, I loved how one second it could make me laugh and then the next I would feel like crying. It was really an amazing production and the actresses were simply perfect. Not only did I love it, but it really amazed me how such a simple play with only three actresses could engage the audience so much and make such an impact. The atmosphere of it was great, not to mention the gorgeous script. From the emotion, comedy and laughter I just didn't want it to end!
Watching 'Little Gem' was only one of the great things I got to do here at the Bush during my week of work experience. Throughout the week I've met some amazing, hardworking people who put a lot of work into making sure everything runs smoothly. While here I was given different tasks such as: typing up emails, writing news letters, contacting other theatres, sending out reminders and many more which has been a wonderful experience for me. They really made me feel at home and although it's hectic most of the time, I think that's what makes the bush theatre so great!
