It was Patrons evening for 'Apologia' last night, although a slightly different sort of affair than usual. After the show, audience and cast retired to Artistic Director Josie's roof terrace to enjoy the balmy weather and a kitsch English garden party with a bit of a twist. West 11 Cocktails supplied us with delicious drinks all evening, which went perfectly with the cucumber sandwiches and fresh scones (made by Josie's own fair hand). Entertainment was provided by musical comedian Des O Connor, who's cheeky ukulele ditties had us all whooping, cheering and making saucy noises.
Des will be gracing Edinburgh Festival this year (along with the Bush's production of Sea Wall at the Traverse Theatre) where he'll be performing his show DESMORPHIA at The Voodoo Rooms from 12th-30th August 2009 at 7:30pm. If you're not heading to Scotland this summer, be sure to catch his London previews at the Volupte Lounge (9 Norwich Street, EC4A 1EJ) on the 15th and 16th of July.
