As Writer in Residence at the Finborough, James’s plays include Albert’s Boy, Eden's Empire (Catherine Johnson Best Play winner 2007), Little Madam, Sons of York and The Man. Other work includes Tory Boyz (Soho Theatre), A History of Falling Things (Theatre Clywd), The Whisky Taster (Bush Theatre) and Bassett (National Theatre Connections). His original television drama Caught in a Trap was ITV1's Boxing Day drama in 2008. He is currently under commission with the Bush Theatre, National Theatre, Plymouth Theatre Royal, BBC1, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4.
