Owen Sheers

The Fair and Tender in response to Ezekiel

Owen Sheers has written two poetry collections, The Blue Book and Skirrid Hill (Somerset Maugham Award). His prose work The Dust Diaries won the Welsh Book of the Year 2005. His first novel Resistance won a 2008 Hospital Club Creative Award, and has been translated into ten languages. Owen co-wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation, due for release in 2011. His work as a TV presenter includes the BBC 4 TV series A Poet's Guide to Britain. In 2007 Owen was a Cullman Fellow at the New York Public Library. Owen recently wrote the script and novelisation (The Gospel of Us) for The Passion directed by Michael Sheen.
