Every year we reach 40,000 people with our shows in London and on tour, and support the most talented playwrights of the future through our unique development work.

Playwrights Stephen Poliakoff, Catherine Johnson, Jonathan Harvey, Tony Kushner, David Eldridge, Samuel Adamson and Jack Thorne all began their careers at The Bush, along with actors including Kate Beckinsale, Simon Callow, Julie Walters, Alan Rickman, Victoria Wood, Antony Sher, Alison Steadman and Jim Broadbent.

Discovering new artists:
- £75 enables us to read five new scripts sent in by new playwrights
- £1,000 enables us to bring a playwright into residence at The Bush
Nurturing new talent:
- £500 enables a short festival commission from an emerging playwright
- £10,000 enables us to commission, develop and bring to our stage a new full-length play
Producing more plays:
- One Glee Club member pays for the lighting for a new Bush Theatre production
- Ten Glee Club members pay for the set for one new play at The Bush
Reaching new audiences:
- £350 enables us to run a workshop at a local school, introducing young people to one of our new plays
- £500 provides audio description for visually impaired audience members for one production
