Open Submissions

Once a year, we open our unsolicited submissions window so artists can share their work with us.

Open submissions is one of the ways we meet the most exciting artists making new work across the nation.

We are dedicated to opening ourselves up to the imaginations of writers – artists writing fearlessly about our world and asking the big, urgent questions.

When it relaunches, the process will look a little different as we’re working to ensure we deliver maximum impact for artists. As in previous years, at least one space in the Bush Writers’ Group will be allocated to a writer found through the 2026 call for submissions.

We plan to relaunch open submissions later in 2026. More details to follow.
