White City Youth Theatre

The Bush Theatre is proud to work with White City Youth Theatre (WCYT). WCYT is based in the heart of White City, West London.

They meet every Monday at the Bush Theatre 4.30 – 7.30pm. It consists of a junior group for young people aged 8-11 years and a senior group for young people aged 12- 18 years. The aim of the White City Youth Theatre is to provide young people with access to drama and theatre practice, using the energy involved in creating theatre within their community to enhance their social and personal development.

Every year we invite a writer to spend 6 weeks with the group over the summer term and write them a bespoke play, which they ordinarily rehearse and perform at the Bush Theatre. In 2016, they performed on the set of Boys Will Be Boys at Bush Hall. Rebecca Manley wrote Where We Are for the group, which was performed for over 60 friends and family. In 2017, the group worked with writer Jessica Siân and presented their final performance in the Bush Theatre’s main auditorium in July.
