STOVEPIPE

Sold out

A HighTide Production in collaboration with the National Theatre and The Bush Theatre.

For every guy trying to be a pro, there's a psychopath. And for every psychopath, there's a cowboy.

When a mercenary goes missing en route to Iraq, his closest surviving friend embarks on a hunt across the post-war Middle East

Stovepipe is an indoor promenade performance at a location in Shepherds Bush; audiences observe the unravelling of this original drama whilst being guided through five-star hotel bars, seedy brothels, and war-torn desert landscapes.

The venue for Stovepipe performances is: West 12, The Broadway, Shepherds Bush W12. There is a bar and cloakroom onsite; please follow the signs within the centre.

Lauren Clancy: “What can our next government do for the arts?”

Bijan Sheibani: Drama is a means of finding our truer selves

I have been asked in the past whether male vulnerability is a running theme in my work.  Barber Shop Chronicles and The Brothers Size, two plays I recently directed, and my play The Arrival, all look at the way men open themselves up to one another and the difficulties men have in doing that.
