Join Victoria, from Love of Culture in conversation with Zainab Kwaw-Swanzy, award-winning product manager, model and author of the newly released A Quick Ting On The Black Girl Afro. An evening exploring and celebrating the powerful versatility and diversity of Black women’s hair, with music and vibes courtesy of DJ Pt Jay.
Love of Culture is excited to host a series of conversations exploring the ground-breaking non-fiction book series A Quick Ting On, chronicling the history and evolution of Black British Culture.
With books surveying key topics ranging from food and theatre, to business and hair, to music and politics, each title has been written by an influential Black British voice and debut author including Chanté Joseph, Tobi Kyeremateng, Tskenya-Sarah Frazer, Franklyn Addo among others.
Join us throughout the year as we dive into the series with the fantastic folk who wrote them! Event details coming soon.
A Quick Ting On was created by publisher and writer Magdalene Abraha, for Jacaranda books.
