Come and listen to much-loved children’s TV presenter Cerrie Burnell read from her brand new book, Harper and the Scarlet Umbrella. This is a story about a girl, her cat and a magical umbrella.

The first in a new two-part series, Harper and the Scarlet Umbrella follows Harper’s adventures. The stories are based on Cerrie Burnell’s script for her fantastic stage show, Harper and the Midnight Orchestra, which was performed in 2014 accompanied by the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.


Cerrie Burnell is a well-loved children’s TV presenter who was named in the Observer’s top ten children’s presenters and also featured in The Guardian‘s 2011 list of 100 most inspirational women. Cerrie is the author of Snowflakes and Mermaid, illustrated by Laura Ellen Anderson.
