Remote by Orange Tree Theatre Young Company

by Stef Smith
Sold out
Part of NT Connections
A girl called Antler steps out of her front door and throws her phone on the ground. She stamps on it. She then climbs the tallest tree in the park.

She doesn’t want to be found, not by anyone. Seven teenagers’ lives all intertwine over the course of a single evening as they make their way through the park on a seemingly normal Autumn’s night.Remote is a play about protest, power and protecting yourself.

Stef Smith studied Drama and Theatre Arts at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Stef is currently best known for supplying the text for the critically acclaimed and sell out show RoadKill (Edinburgh Festival 2010, 2011) which won a Laurence Olivier Award in 2012. Work Experience Diary | Tomek “one word to describe the Bush”

Our work experience student Tomek Goodwin tells us about his time at the Bush Theatre. One word to describe the Bush. Amazing. I have done a lot and seen things that would help me in the future. Now let’s go to the start of the week Monday. When I first came in, I felt I was really…

Work Experience Diary | Shania “the best place for anyone creative”

Our work experience student Sania Ramnarine tells us about her time at the Bush Theatre. That first day, I just remember being incredibly uncertain of myself. Completely unsure that I would even like it, I’m more of a performer myself, and in the weeks running up to my placement, I was plagued with this unyielding thought…
