When can I arrive at the Bush Theatre?
The Bush Theatre will be open to audiences fifteen minutes before the performance is due to start, unless you want food or drink. Please book a table in our Library Bar via our booking form to avoid disappointment. Your entry time for the performance is signposted on your e-ticket.
What should I do when I get there?
When you arrive at the Bush Theatre please go to your assigned entrance, which is signposted on your e-ticket. The entrances are assigned based on seating blocks.
If you are seated in Block A please go to Entrance A on Pennard Road.
If you are seated in Block B please go to Entrance B at the front of the Bush Theatre terrace.
If you are seated in Block C please go to Entrance C at the back of the Bush Theatre terrace.
There will be an usher at each entrance who will welcome you and direct you to your seat once the house is open.
Please do not enter the building if you or anyone you live with have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days, or if you have been advised by NHS Test and Trace to self isolate.
Will I get a refund if the show is cancelled?
In the event of the show being cancelled or postponed for any reason, please rest assured that you will be entitled to a refund and our Box Office team will be in touch to arrange it with you.
Will I be able to get in if I’m late?
There is no late admission for this show, so please arrive at your entry time to ensure you can get in.
What should I do if I can’t access my e-ticket?
If you haven’t received your e-ticket by email, please contact our box office for assistance. You can either show your e-ticket on your mobile device, or you can bring a printed version. If you arrive at the venue without your ticket, please go to the box office where we will assist you.
What should I do if I can’t make it?
If yourself or a member of your household has been asked to isolate due to COVID-19, then your tickets can be refunded up to 2 hours before the performance, or exchanged into another performance at an appropriate time. Please contact our box office at least 2 hours prior to your performance to arrange a refund or exchange.
If you can no longer make the performance due to other reasons, then our usual ticketing terms and conditions apply. We’re happy to exchange tickets for performances of the same production. We have to charge a £2 administration fee (per transaction) for this, and we can only exchange tickets if they are returned to us at least 48 hours before the performance.
Can I sit with my friends?
Please follow Government guidelines on meeting with others. You can only book seats in the auditorium for people in your household or support bubble. If you have booked tickets for a performance with people that are outside of your bubble, please email [email protected] and a member of the Bush team will happily assist you.
We can accommodate bookings for food or drinks in our Library Bar for groups of up to six people. In accordance with the rule of 6 guidance, if you are sitting with people from outside of your household or support bubble you must maintain social distancing. Please let us know if you are making a booking for people from multiple bubbles when you book your table.
Do I need to wear a face covering?
Yes – aside from when you are eating or drinking, we ask that you wear a face covering at all times, and our staff will be wearing face coverings too.
Rest assured, we are aware that some people cannot wear face coverings for health reasons. If this applies to you, click here to download a TfL exemption card. This card is not mandatory, but it will make your visit smoother as our teams can easily identify you as exempt.
What should I do while inside the building?
- Please use the hand sanitiser provided at all entrances when entering and exiting the building.
- Please maintain social distancing with anyone who is not in your group.
- Please follow the one way system around the building
- Please register for Test and Trace with the NHS COVID-19 app. You will be able to register at your designated entrance.
Will there be toilets available?
Yes, there are toilets located on the first floor and a further accessible toilet on the ground floor. To help with social distancing, we request that only two people are in any of our toilets at one time. Please make sure there are less than two people in your toilet block before you enter.
Will I be able to leave the auditorium once the show has started?
There will be no readmission once the show has started – so if you decide to leave the auditorium during the show, you will not be able to re-enter.
Can I get a drink before the show?
Yes – the Bush theatre will be open before and after the show for drinks and food seated in our cafe bar. Please book a table in advance via our booking form to avoid disappointment. We will be operating table service and will only be accepting cashless payment to reduce contact.

Who should I contact if I show symptoms after attending the venue?
If you start to develop symptoms of Coronavirus, you should self-isolate and get tested as quickly as possible. If you then test positive, NHS Test and Trace will ask you where you have been recently and who you have seen. They will then get in touch with anyone you may have been in close contact with to advise them on what to do next.
How many other people will be there?
The maximum capacity in the Holloway Theatre is 63. And the maximum number of people we can have in the Bush Theatre building is 147.
How often are the spaces cleaned?
We have increased our cleaning rotas throughout the venue. The auditorium is cleaned before and after every performance. Front of House areas including toilets are cleaned throughout the day, before, during and after every performance. All surfaces are frequently cleaned while audience members are in the theatre.
