Wolves on Road

A fast, funny and furious deep-dive into the mysterious world of cryptocurrency where ambition and hope come at a price. Written by Beru Tessema (House of Ife), directed by Daniel Bailey who returns to the Bush following the success of Red Pitch, and co-produced with Tamasha.

Lavender, Hyacinth, Violet, Yew

A beautiful exploration of what family means to who we are and the heritage of queer history. The debut play from Emerging Writers’ Group alum Coral Wylie, directed by Debbie Hannan (Overflow). Part of our artist development programme Staged by Jerwood, supported by the Jerwood Foundation.

The witty, lyrical and honest story of love and loss written and performed by Bush Young Company alum Azan Ahmed (Deen & Dunya, The Father and The Assassin). Directed by Esme Allman (Delectably Red, Roundhouse) and produced by Two Magpies Productions (Duck, Arcola).

Tender

Two new Bush Young Company shows

Following the success of their 2023 summer season, the Bush Young Companies return to the main stage this August with two incredible new shows.

COMMUNION

Whether it’s a raucous family dinner, an overdue catch-up with close friends, or the quarterly board meeting – so many of life’s important moments take place when we come together around a table. So pull up a chair, get [un]comfortable and share in the occasion. Co-created with the new 18-25 Young Company cohort and director Katie Greenall, join us in COMMUNION as we explore cultures, traditions, and ideas through stories and food.

The End

The End is a witty and tender story about friendship, impending loss and what really matters when you have less life ahead of you than you expected. The world premiere of a new play written by Bush Emerging Writers’ Group alum Jasmin Mandi-Ghomi, directed by Neetu Singh and performed by the new 14-17 Bush Young Company.

Jasmin’s commission forms part of Staged by Jerwood, which is supported by Jerwood Foundation.
