Mike Bradwell, 1948-2025

We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Mike Bradwell, former Artistic Director of the Bush Theatre.

Mike was AD of the Bush from 1996 to 2007 in its previous home on Shepherd’s Bush Green. Under his direction, we debuted work from hundreds of writers, including Jack Thorne, Catherine Johnson, David Eldridge, Georgia Fitch, and Joe Penhall.

His legacy runs deep throughout our building, part of a lineage of Artistic Directors who have all left indelible marks on the Bush Theatre.

We send our condolences to Mike’s family, friends and all those whose careers he helped launch.
