About

I’m pregnant and it’s weird.

Not at all like they showed on the telly or in the films. Less glow-up, more throw (up).

But aside from all that, how am I going to raise a boy in this modern world full of incels, dating apps and constantly evolving gender roles?

Come along to see me try and work this out and more than likely have a little breakdown.

Emma Richardson is a comic actress and writer who has been working in comedy and film for the last ten years.

“I recently re-started stand-up comedy after a big old Panny-D break. Last time I did some stuff, on my fourth gig, I reached the semi-finals of the Sky Studios Funny Women competition. During my acting career, I’ve worked with many high-profile YouTube comedians, including The Midnight Beast, Jack and Dean (at Soho Theatre, Comicon, and Excel Centre Mainstage), Sammy Paul, Hazel Hayes, Crabstickz, Kick the PJ, and Dodie. In the Sky Arts film “Midnight Beast”, I played Rizzo alongside Andrea Valls, Dan Skinner, and The Midnight Beast cast.

In the 2018 film “Together”, directed by Paul Duddridge (Mothers and Daughters; The Keith Barrett Show), The Guardian reviewed my performance as a ‘comic treat’. One of my career highlights was doing a plant rap for BBC Teach to explain flower anatomy to kids. My short films “Mixed Reception” and “Ghosty McGhostface” have collectively won 12 awards, been nominated for 6, and officially selected for 34 festivals.
