ALT B: BackRoom presents Samples

Story, in my opinion, is for the people. It is a revolutionary act, which is inherently for the people. So why do we not consult them when we write? Have you ever wanted to grab the writer of a play and ask them “WHY OH WHY DID YOU HAVE THE CHARACTER DO THIS?”? Well, now you can.

Samples is a series of showcases of specific sections from never-before-seen plays, curating specifically from the BackRoom Writers Workshop.

Each writer will come out and introduce their piece before a sample of said piece is performed live by professional actors. Once the sample finishes, the writer will come back on stage and thus will commence a 20 minute segment where writer and audience go back and forth on the piece and the audience can offer their thoughts on what they saw.
