About

A screening of Florence Miailhe’s animated feature
An animated feature following the dramatic journey of two siblings, Kyona and her brother Adriel, as they run away from the invasion of their homeland.

Loosely based on the experience of the director’s (Florence Miailhe) grandmother, who fled anti-Semitic persecution in Ukraine at the beginning of the past century, this could nonetheless be the story of the thousands of children crossing continents, forcefully separated from their families and searching for safety today.

London Migration Film Festival is an annual film festival that has been running since 2016. The aim of the festival is to challenge the narrow rhetoric on migration that often sees migration, and people on the move, framed in reductive and dehumanising binaries.
