About

Rainbow Class

by Vivienne Acheampong

Primary School has changed. It isn’t all “Wheels on the Bus” and “Stuck in the Mud”, there’s a lot more going on behind those school gates. Kids say the funniest things, and so do the adults who work with them.

Former primary school teacher Vivienne Acheampong gives you a comic insight into the goings on in an inner-city London primary school in this one woman character comedy show.
You’ll meet a range of characters including Ty’Quan, the ‘challenging boy’ of the school, Mrs Marshall the heavily pregnant overworked teacher and Miss Sheila a not so politically correct dinner lady are just to name a few. With verbatim extracts from both adults and pupils, join these colourful characters who will take you on a journey at Tiddlesworth Primary School.

Fresh from a sell-out run at Underbelly, Edinburgh 2015, this is the story of a bird handler who has thrown down her gauntlet; a soaring tale of avian antics.

Is laughter really the best medicine? Isn’t medicine the best medicine? Yoga? Scandinavian design? Buns? Sticking to your guns? Plucking pheasants till the pheasant plucking’s done? Imaginative. Not about Tinder. Worth a look.

Debut solo show from the writer of Talking to Strangers (BBC Radio 4), Mock Tudor (Pleasance 2014), Café Red (Trafalgar Studios). Funny Women semi-finalist 2014
