The skeleton is fast becoming a huge metal creature.
They have built a behemoth here.
Ferocious, brutal and damning, this epic story of a life ravaged by ecological disaster is written by Titas Halder and directed by Matthew Xia.
The Hungry Ghost
1 – 31 October

A sexy horror rom-com starring Olivier Award nominee Mei Mac, The Hungry Ghost is the debut play from Mei Leng Yew, directed by Ailin Conant.
The Bridge
28 October – 11 November
Palestinian actor and comedian Alaa Shehada returns following his heartfelt and hilarious Scotsman Fringe First-winning debut, The Horse of Jenin.
A human tale of family and connection, hope and joy, set against the brutal truths of the impacts of colonialism and the broken promises of the British in Palestine.

A tale of twisted family loyalty, cabalistic elites, and what we’re prepared to sacrifice for proximity to power, from Tony Craze award-winning writer Chris Fung and director Rupert Hands.
Ripples

An electrifying interrogation of Britain’s treatment of migrants based on true events, from debut writer Tafadzwa Muchenje and director Rosie MacPherson.
Insane Asylum Seekers
12 February – 20 March
“At 27, my dad had escaped multiple bloodthirsty dictatorships. I’m 27, I had a panic attack watching the final episode of ‘Succession’.”
Side-splittingly funny and deeply moving, the sold-out studio hit transfers to the Bush Theatre’s main stage. Written by Laith Elzubaidi and directed by Olivier Award-nominee Emily Ling Williams.
Introducing: our new artistic team
Joining the Bush to work alongside Artistic Director Taio Lawson is our new Literary team.
Olivia Poglio-Nwabali joins as Literary Manager and Lead Dramaturge, with Frey Kwa Hawking joining as Associate Dramaturge.
Together, they lead our programming, dramaturgy and artist development work, including the Bush Writers’ Group and Bloom Bursary.
Open Submissions is back
We’ve received thousands of scripts through our unsolicited submissions window, and met some of our most exciting artists.
We’ll be relaunching Open Submissions this summer – reworked to deliver maximum impact for artists.

New directors join BYC
Two Directors have joined the Bush team to oversee the direction of Bush Young Company.
Bashiie Baptiste is leading the 14-17 company, with Amber Ruby leading the 18-25 company.
The 18-25 BYC return to our main stage this summer with Before We Forget.
Booking tickets
Standard tickets range from £15 to £45, and concessions offer £5 off. Under 30s, Locals and members save on tickets and at the bar. With a Bush Theatre season ticket, the more shows you book, the more you save.
