Our Protest series is an ongoing strand of work designed to enable artists to respond to the world in a way that is dynamic and held with care.
We believe the connection between art and protest is vital. We believe the connection between statements and action is essential. With global events unfolding every day we recognise our duty to provide a platform for our artists’ voices to be heard. Our Protest series includes quick-fire commissions, collaborations and events.
Following last year’s Supreme Court ruling on the legal definitions of sex and gender, we launched an open call for trans artists as part of our Protest series. These free events are outcomes of that open call.
