Applications are now open for our new Young Company
The Bush Theatre’s new Young Company is designed for young artists aged between 18 and 25 who are interested in exploring theatre and live performance as a career, but with no need to already have extensive experience. It is not just for actors or writers – all sorts of creatives are encouraged to apply.
This group is for storytellers, particularly for people who might not know they are one yet. Workshops will take place weekly at the Bush on Thursday evenings, will provide opportunities to develop your skills with the Bush team and make work for our stage.
Applications open: Friday 9th July
Applications close: Thursday 29th July 11:59pm
How does the application process work?
Stage one: Expression of Interest
You complete a short expression of interest and equal opportunities form.
Submit here: Expression of Interest Form
Stage two: Workshop
Once applications have closed, forms will be reviewed and up to 100 young people will be invited to a Meet the Bush workshop.
This will consist of a 1 hour group workshop and then 5 min individual session. It’s up to the young person to decide how that time is used, it might be a chance to share something they’ve written, show us something they’ve made, perform something or just have a chat.
We are hoping to meet everyone who applies, but if we have more people interested than spaces available, we will be prioritising meeting people who are based in West London and aren’t currently in formal drama training/ working professionally in theatre.
Stage three: Offers
Offers will then be sent out in the week commencing 16th August, alongside registration forms.
