Phoenics: Phoenics is a 26-year-old spoken word artist and a rapper.

Her name symbolises her rise from the ashes of South London where she was born and raised. She strives for continual growth and constant rebirth in a society whose dimensions never made enough room for her art.

Being an empath and feeling the energies of others from a young age, she begun writing as a form of catharsis. This need for release quickly flourished into the art form you see today. Evoking emotions in others and shifting stagnant perspectives has always been Phoenics’ main focus when delivering her work. Phoenics is currently working full time whilst studying full time for her law degree, of which she has just entered her third and final year. She does this all whilst pursuing spoken word and music simultaneously.

Phoenics’ mission is ultimately to make history and does this, by making her dreams a reality.

Fury WD: Fury WD is a BAFTA award winning Spoken Word Artist.

His achievements include performing his signature piece 3 Minutes, on Sky Arts’ Life & Rhymes. The show went on to win a BAFTA for Best Entertainment Programme 2021. It also broke new ground as the first UK television show to be solely dedicated to the art of spoken word. Fury also displayed his comedic and performance abilities as the warm up act throughout filming on both season’s one and two of the same show.

Fury is fuelled by his desire to help spoken word reach the same industry appeal as art forms such as hip hop and grime. He recently took a giant leap towards this goal, and made history yet again, during 2022’s Black History Month. Fury was an integral part of the production team behind the television show Sport In Words, the first spoken word show to air on BT Sport. With the show celebrating the achievements of Black sporting icons, as well as giving opportunities to some of the best spoken word talents in the scene, this is Fury WD’s proudest achievement… so far.
