Neal and Rachel live together in cordial estrangement, communicating with post-it notes as they struggle to resuscitate a romance left for dead by their fledgling medical careers. Enter compulsive liar, alcoholic and drug-addict Richie – a blast from Neal's past – who threatens to dispatch not only Neal's fading relationship, but just maybe his job and sanity along with it.
